When visiting Japan I was very interested in their methods of communication in the context of prayer. They had so many different ways to pray and ask for good fortune. I was attracted to the practice of trying to make contact, not knowing if there would be a response, but being hopeful for one. Japan Postcards documents the practice of social exchange through the act of mailing postcards from Japan. The postcards shared my experience with the participant and started a new path of communication with them. Japan Postcards evaluates the different methods and systems of sending and receiving messages.
