DendroBiography: Peekskill is a sculptural installation detailing the connection between humans and their environment. Inspired by the science of dendrochronology, this piece illustrates Peekskill’s’ rich history, directly referencing Mount St. Gabriel, Downtown Peekskill and Peekskill’s waterfront.  Each tree “stump” installed has handwritten history of these three areas integrated within the patterns created by the tree’s rings, producing journal like entries from the tree’s point of view.
